About Us

Independence with Assistance

Hillhaven encourages residents to be independent—they may have their own vehicle or use public transportation. Also, Hillhaven staff can transport them within the local area for  appointments and other scheduled outings. Residents can participate in community and Senior Center activities. Families are welcome to visit, take residents for outings or overnights, or have family gatherings at the facility.

Care Options

Each resident’s care plan
reflects their individual needs:

  • Long Term Care
Residents may move in and stay until Hillhaven can no longer meet their needs.
  • Short Term Care
A temporary stay for any reason and any duration, including:

    • Respite Care
A short term stay option when caregivers need a break.
    • Post Hospital Recovery
A sweet alternative to a nursing home for rehab and recovery after a hospital stay.
  • Physical Therapy
    Services available on site

Most residents are private-pay;  county assistance is also available. Long-term care insurance (depending upon the policy) usually covers some or all of the costs.

Basic fees are very reasonable and it includes all meals/snacks, 24 hour supervision, call button alarm system, housekeeping and linen change weekly, full use of all common spaces available, medication assist and DirectTV.  Additional fees are charged for bathing/showering,  other assistance, special diets etc and are charged  out monthly for $20/hour. Residents pay for their own phone installation and monthly fees or can use Hillhaven phone for occasional use.
